Question:

89 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the value and volume of beef export sales to retail destinations for each of the past ten years and to date in 1996. [5949/96]

There are no official figures which give a breakdown of exports by retail destinations. However, as most of our retail exports are mainly in the form of chilled boneless beef to EU markets, the data in the following table gives an indication of the level of such trade over the past ten years. Figures for 1996 are not yet available.
