Vol. 463 No. 5

Visit by Foreign Delegations.

Before commencing the business of the House, I am sure Members would wish to join me in extending a most warm welcome to the many distinguished persons who are with us, a parliamentary delegation from Finland, the Icelandic Foreign Minister, Mr. Halldor Asgrimsson, and his entourage, which I am pleased to observe includes our former parliamentary colleague, Mr. Pat McCartan. His parliamentary colleagues will be pleased to see him back in the Dáil, especially in the capacity of Irish Honorary Consul to Iceland. They will probably consider the distance quite appropriate. We wish all our visitors a happy and successful time in Ireland. May they take back with them happy memories of their visit and, in the old gaelic term, I wish them céad míle fáilte, a hundred thousand welcomes.
