Vol. 463 No. 5

Written Answers. - Absenteeism Survey.

Tony Gregory

Question:

64 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if she received a community-based survey of absenteeism of children at primary school level in the Cherry Orchard area of Ballyfermot, Dublin 10; and the steps, if any, she is taking to address the problem. [16365/95]

I have received a copy of the survey referred to by the Deputy, which includes data on the population of school-going age in support of a claim for a national school for this area.

As I indicated to the House on 27 March 1996, I have decided to provide early start and junior primary school facilities in the Cherry Orchard area.
