Vol. 463 No. 6

Written Answers. - Westmeath Group Water Scheme.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

158 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for the Environment the moneys, if any, that are included in his budget for the north Westmeath group water scheme, which will serve up to 600 households; and if he will give the immediate go-ahead to this scheme which will have such a beneficial effect. [7115/96]

Completed grant applications have been recently received for this scheme.

My Department has asked the group to submit a bill of quantities and up-to-date tender prices for the proposed scheme. This information, when received, will allow costs to be assessed and the question of grant approval to be considered in the light of the resources available for 1996.
