Vol. 463 No. 6

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Broughan—the need to target deprived areas of Dublin city for funding from the 1996 national lottery allocation for youth and sports; (2) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the problem of interference by an RTE transmitter with the main source signal for South Coast Community Television; (3) Deputy Kathleen Lynch—the need to review the conditions under which public service vehicle licences are granted; (4) Deputy Ring—the reason a work permit has not yet been issued to a person in County Mayo; (5) Deputy Shortall— the need to tackle illegal drug dealers by establishing a special unit involving the Garda Síochána, the Revenue Commissioners and the Department of Social Welfare.

The matters raised by Deputies Lynch, Broughan, Ring and Batt O'Keeffe have been selected for discussion.
