Vol. 463 No. 8

Written Answers. - Ratoath (Meath) School.

Mary Wallace

Question:

123 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Education the situation regarding Ratoath primary school, County Meath, since her correspondence to Deputy M. Wallace dated 25 July 1995 in which she stated that two classrooms will be built under the 1995 building programme; the position regarding these two classrooms which were to be built under the 1995 building programme; and the reason for the delay in building these classrooms. [7517/96]

The current position regarding the two classrooms to be built under the 1995 building programme at Ratoath primary school is that a sketch scheme has been prepared by the school's architect. When agreement on the scheme is reached between the school and my Department, planning permission may be applied for. I should point out that the project is proceeding through the various planning stages and there have been no unnecessary delays.
