Vol. 463 No. 8

Written Answers. - Air Quality Monitoring.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

101 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment the number of air quality monitoring stations in the Dublin area; their exact location; the criteria for deciding their location; the precise purpose; and where the general public can examine the findings of each monitoring station. [7529/96]

Information on the number, location and nature of air quality monitoring stations throughout the country and the criteria for deciding on their location is set out in the Environmental Protection Agency's report entitled, Air Pollution in Ireland, Emission, Deposition and Concentrations 1984-94, a copy of which is in the Oireachtas Library.

Results from individual monitoring stations are available on request from the relevant local authority.
