Vol. 463 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Cork School Accommodation.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

119 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if her Department has completed the examination into an application for the provision of extra accommodation at a national school (details supplied) in County Cork; if her attention has been drawn to the urgency involved in having the necessary funding made available to this school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7513/96]

The examination into an application for the provision of extra accommodation at the school in question has been completed. I have agreed to the inclusion of the school in the 1996 list of primary school projects for planning. My Department will be in contact with the school authorities very shortly about advancing the project through the various planning stages. When this process is completed, a decision on the timing of the tender and contract process will be taken in the light of other priority projects and available financial resources.
