Vol. 464 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Schemes.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

88 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the number and the nature of the various grant schemes which he has approved in respect of his Department and its subordinate agencies; the schedule for these schemes; the objective of each such scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7932/96]

Grant assistance is available for the development of tourism and trade under a range of schemes administered by the State agencies — An Bord Tráchtála, Bord Fáilte, Shannon Development and CERT — operating under the aegis of my Department. Full particulars of these schemes, whose operation falls within the day-to-day responsibility of the agencies, can be obtained from the chief executive officers of each of the respective agencies. Details are also contained in the annual reports and accounts of the bodies in question and, where appropriate, in the relevant EU operational programmes, copies of which are available in the Dáil Library.

The Department itself does not administer any such schemes.
