Vol. 464 No. 6

Written Answers. - Sandyford (Dublin) Halting Site.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

121 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for the Environment the nature of the technical details referred to by him in his reply to a parliamentary question from Deputy Brennan on 15 June 1995, regarding his approval of funding of over £600,000 for a 20 bay/40 caravan halting site at Blackglen Road, Sandyford, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the current situation regarding this approval. [8623/96]

The technical details relate to perimeter wall/screening, surface to access/internal road, kerbing, drainage, paying to bays, bay size, repositioning of internal wall and exclusion of items not appropriate for inclusion in tender documentation. The carrying out of works to provide the halting site is a matter for the local authority, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. However, I understand that the proposals are at present the subject of proceedings in the courts.
