Question:

92 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Health the reason a patient would receive a letter from a hospital stating that if he was being treated privately he would secure an appointment in the near future but, if he was being treated publicly he would receive an appointment in due course. [8697/96]

, Limerick East): In the absence of more specific details I am not in a position to answer the question put forward by the Deputy. If he can provide me with the necessary details I will arrange for my Department to write to him in the near future concerning the matter.
