Vol. 464 No. 6

Written Answers. - Pilot Programme Review.

Frances Fitzgerald

Question:

94 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Health the form of the review of the pilot programme for the employment of people with disabilities; the persons to be involved in the review; the exact timing for the review; and if he will ensure that the review is completed in time for its recommendations to be dealt with in the 1997 budget. [8722/96]

, Limerick East): The pilot programme for the employment of people with disabilities is overseen by a monitoring committee which consists of representatives of the Departments of Health, Enterprise and Employment, the Taoiseach, Equality and Law Reform, Social Welfare, Finance and the Office of the Tánaiste. The review will be carried out by the monitoring committee which met on 24 April last to discuss the form and content of the review. It is envisaged that the review will be completed later this year and that this will permit the recommendations to be dealt with in the context of the 1997 budget.
