Vol. 464 No. 7

Written Answers. - Administration of Health Services.

Ivor Callely

Question:

67 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health the progress, if any, made on the Health (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill; if the issue of cost implications has been brought to his attention; his views in respect of this matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8822/96]

, Limerick East): I presume the Deputy is referring to preparations for the reorganisation of the Eastern Health Board. I intend to submit proposals for the future administration of health services in the Eastern Health Board area to the Government shortly. In accordance with normal practice, the submission will address the financial implications of the proposals. I intend to make a further statement when the Government has taken decisions in the matter.
