Vol. 465 No. 1

Order of Business (Resumed).

I raise a matter of urgent public importance which has already been referred to, that is, the question of whether emergency legislation will be brought forward to preserve the disease free status of our herd, given that it is now under attack. If the Taoiseach is unsuccessful today in resolving this matter with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, will he immediately call a meeting of the Central Review Committee to discuss this urgent matter?

Deputy Cowen will have to raise that matter at a more appropriate time.

Will the Taoiseach indicate if he will do that?

I will answer the Deputy's question if the Chair deems it in order.

I am calling No. 7.
