169 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment the number of sewerage schemes in County Galway; the number of water schemes in respect of County Galway awaiting approval within his Department; the priority listing, if any, in each case; the total cost involved in each case; the likely timescale involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Details of water and sewerage schemes in County Galway at various stages of planning are set out in the following table. Five schemes, with an overall estimated valued of almost £13 milion, have been included in the Water and Sewerage Capital Works Programme, 1996. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme generally, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance the other schemes.
