139 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for the Environment whether he has received an application from Laois County Council in respect of a sewerage problem affecting 42 families in the Borris Great/Colliers Lane area of Portlaoise; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11444/96]

Laois County Council has submitted a proposal to my Department in relation to the Borris Great-Collier's Lane area. However, having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the proposal.
