While I congratulate all involved in Ireland's success in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, it is entirely a matter for the RTÉ Authority to decide on the location and budget for the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest and to secure the necessary funding.
The question of an Exchequer contribution to RTÉ for this purpose does not arise at this time.
