Question:

21 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health the consideration, if any, that has been given to amending the general medical service scheme to cover a large percentage of our total population; the costings that have been worked out in respect of any alternative schemes that have been considered; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Limerick East): There are no plans to extend eligibility under the general medical services scheme on the basis referred to in the Deputy's question.
