114 Miss Quill asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department will approve the two phases of the scheme to relieve flooding at Turner's Cross, Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12314/96]

A preliminary report detailing their proposals to alleviate flooding at Turner's Cross has been submitted to my Department by Cork Corporation and is currently under consideration. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance the proposals.
