Vol. 467 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Finucane

Question:

118 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a second year payment under the REP scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13676/96]

The person concerned applied for his second year payment under the REP scheme. However, under revised monitoring and control procedures implemented by my Department recently, compliance checks are required to ensure that farmers have completed the specific works outlined during the first year of the plan before second year payments can be made. A compliance check will be carried out on the applicant's farm shortly and assuming all is in order payment will issue as soon as possible thereafter.

Michael Finucane

Question:

119 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the status of an application for a farm retirement scheme by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13677/96]

The application in this case has been approved and payment of the pension will commence at the end of June. It will be paid with effect from 11 April 1996.

John O'Leary

Question:

120 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when 1995 cattle headage premia and suckler cow grants will be paid to a person (details supplied). [13678/96]

The problem in this case arose because the area aid application of the registered owner of the first herdnumber quoted was lodged under the flock number quoted while the individual aid applications were lodged under the herdnumber. The matter has now been rectified and the 1995 cattle headage, suckler cow and extensification premia grants due will be paid shortly.
