Vol. 468 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

130 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will meet a representative deputation of the north Westmeath group water scheme. [14677/96]

A bill of quantities, together with details of costs, were recently received from the group and these are being examined at present. My Department will arrange to meet the group shortly with a view to developing a strategy for the phased construction of this very large group scheme, in the context of the high level of demand for the available resources under the group schemes programme.

Noel Davern

Question:

131 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for the Environment whether he intends to approve the sewerage works for Limerick Junction in view of the hardship this is causing to the people of this area; and if so, when works will commence. [14697/96]

There are no proposals for this scheme with my Department.
