Written Answers. - Separate Remand Facility.
I recognise the need for separate remand facilities. The Government, on Tuesday last, approved my proposal to build a new Remand Prison capable of holding 400 prisoners on the enclosed site already available at Wheatfield. Planning for this project, estimated to cost £40 million, will commence as soon as possible.
