Vol. 468 No. 2

Written Answers. - Corporation Tax.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

61 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, he has to extend the 10 per cent Corporation Tax rate to all quarrying activities; whether he has sought approval in this regard from the EU Commission; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14835/96]

I do not have any proposals at present to extend the availability of manufacturing relief to new areas, including certain quarrying activities which do not now qualify for this relief.
