My Department is not involved in the operation of this scheme and the information requested is not, therefore, available to it. I undertook to provide some financial assistance towards the running costs of the scheme provided at least 300 applications to join were received. I am informed that that figure has been exceeded. The standards required under the scheme are, I understand, modelled on those applicable under the corresponding UK scheme.
