Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Ownership.

Dermot Ahern

Question:

129 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Health the agreed timeframe between his Department and the authorities at Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, County Louth, within which the transfer of ownership of the hospital is passed to the North-Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14957/96]

Limerick East): As I have stated previously, the Department has agreed a timeframe within which the purchase of the International Missionary Training Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes, Drogheda, County Louth will be completed. However, this forms part of the overall negotiations, which are confidential to the parties involved. The Deputy will appreciate that it would not be appropriate for me to comment at this time on any element of those negotiations.
