Question:

137 Dr. Woods asked the Minister for Health the total cost of surveys undertaken by the MRBI for his Department since January 1995; the number of such surveys undertaken; the costs incurred in respect of each survey; and the surveys, if any, which included a questionnaire to ascertain the level of support for political parties. [14932/96]

Limerick East): In June 1995 my Department engaged a firm of Consultants to carry out a survey to research the impact of National Healthy Eating Week 1995. The MRBI were involved with the consultancy firm in conducting the research. The overall cost of the survey was £4,365, VAT included.
