Written Answers. - Cancer Care Policy.
Limerick East): I expect to bring a series of initiatives relating to cancer before the Government in the near future. These initiatives will include a national cancer strategy, which I hope to be in a position to publish without delay.
I have no plans to introduce a supplementary estimate for cancer services in 1996. Arrangements for funding the initiatives in relation to cancer services will be considered in the context of the budgetary situation for 1997 and subsequent years.
