Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - Cashel (Tipperary) Day Care Centre.

Noel Davern

Question:

203 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Health if his Department will consider the allocation of funds to the South-Eastern Health Board for the provision of a day care centre for the elderly at Cashel, County Tipperary, in view of the fact that the temporary facilities available are inadequate to meet the needs required by the elderly in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15629/96]

Limerick East): The provision of day care facilities in Cashel is a matter, in the first instance, for the South-Eastern Health Board. I have not received any proposal from the board concerning new premises for the Cashel social services group but any proposals in this regard which I might receive in the future will be considered in the light of available resources and competing priorities.
