Question:

245 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will investigate an application lodged with the Southern Health Board for a disabled person's maintenance allowance in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is in ill health; and if he will recommend that the application be dealt with speedily. [15943/96]

Limerick East): Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Southern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
