Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

Declan Bree

Question:

257 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Health if he will have the necessary arrangements made with the NorthWestern Health Board to ensure that disabled person's maintenance allowance payments will continue to be made to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo, when the person commences studies at Magee College, University of Ulster, Derry, from October 1996; if payments will be made to the person if he decides to reside in Derry during the period of his studies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16094/96]

Limerick East): Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, North-Western Health Board, with a request that he examines the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
