268 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the current status of the report of the Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities; the expected publication date; and if he or members of his Department have examined final drafts of the report or sections thereof. I am informed that the Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities are continuing with their work on the preparation of the draft report, which they hope to agree shortly. I understand that the commission envisage that the report will be published in the autumn. An officer of my Department acts as secretary to the commission but, apart from that, neither I nor any other member of my Department are involved in drafting the final report.
