323 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Environment whether it is proposed to put a system in place to facilitate the transfer of local authority tenants from one housing authority to another at the tenants' request; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15140/96]
My Department's guidelines in relation to schemes of letting priorities under section 11 of the Housing Act, 1988, indicate that these schemes should normally contain provisions to enable housing authorities to cater for transfers by tenants to and from houses provided by other housing authorities, on conditions mutually agreed between the authorities.
