Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Monaghan. Sewerage

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

328 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment the reason an application for funding in 1995 for a dangerous drain at Drumillard. Castleblayney, County Monaghan, was not held over to be considered for funding in 1996 as stated in his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 140 of 2 July 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15208/96]

Under my Department's small scheme programme, each county council is invited to submit two priority schemes or groups of schemes each year for consideration. The selection of schemes for submission in any particular year is a matter for the council concerned which is free to resubmit a scheme not selected for funding in an earlier year.
