I have approved Westmeath County Council's proposals for a new fire station in Kilbeggan and the council has since submitted contract documents for the project. These are under examination in my Department at present.

Contract documents for this proposed fire station are at present under consideration in my Department. Given the current level of demands under the fire services capital programme, I cannot say at this stage when approval may be given.
