412 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Education the number of educational psychologists that will be appointed in 1996; the number of such psychologists that will be appointed in the north-west; and when these appointments will be made. [14991/96]

I wish to inform the Deputy that ten psychologists were appointed in 1995 and at this stage it is not proposed to make any new appointments in 1996.
