Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - Fermoy (Cork) School.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

462 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education when a development will be approved in respect of Adain national school, Oliver Plunkett Hill, Fermoy, County Cork; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that it is a minority religious group that is seeking grant aid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15318/96]

My Department's planning section is currently examining an application by Adair national school, Fermoy, for an extension to the school. When this examination is completed, a decision will be conveyed to the school management. The application will be assessed entirely on its merits, without reference to the denominational status of the school.
