503 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in a formal announcement of a further postgraduate intake for primary teaching in view of the fact that she made an announcement some time ago in respect of this matter; if all details of this course will now be announced; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I have already announced that I will be introducing a further postgraduate course for the training of primary teachers. This course, subject to the formal agreement of the college authorities, will begin in January 1997 and will provide places for 150 students.
Further details in relation to the course will be announced when the consultation process with the college authorities is complete.
