I propose to take Questions Nos. 522 and 523 together.

The Deputy will be aware that, some months ago, I asked that an independent report be obtained on how post-primary education in Ballinasloe could be provided in the future so as to maximise the educational opportunities for second-level pupils in the area.

This report has recently been received and is currently being examined in my Department. The accommodation needs of the schools referred to by the Deputy are being addressed in this context.

I will consider what action is appropriate as soon as the report has been fully assessed.
