659 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Justice if she will sanction a project (details supplied) in County Galway; if she will give details of the project; the date on which sanction will be given; the cost of the project; the date on which construction will begin. [15785/96]
As the Deputy will be aware major refurbishment works including the incorporation of the married quarters and the building of an extension are proposed for this centre. The Office of Public Works is currently preparing a revised sketch scheme for the proposed project. Subject to the availability of finance and overall priorities, it is expected that works will commence during 1997. Costs cannot be finally established until the tender stage.
