726 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of persons on the live register at the various Department of Social Welfare offices covering the counties of Sligo and Leitrim; the comparative figures for the corresponding period in 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The rise in the live register figures for this area are comparable to those in other offices across the country. Similarly, the rise in figures between May and June reflects the number of persons completing CE courses and the number of students who, on completion of their education courses, may become eligible for unemployment payments.
