823 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will give an estimate of the Redundancy in the Employers Insolvency Fund in respect of 1994 and 1995; the estimated payments under several heads of expenditure thereon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16140/96]

My Department administers the redundancy and insolvency payments schemes. The amounts paid in respect of these schemes in 1994 and 1995 were as follows.

These payments are made out of the social insurance fund which is the responsibility of my colleague the Minister for Social Welfare, Deputy De Rossa.
