Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - Annuity Payment.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

890 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will request the Land Commission to waive the requests for annuity payment in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath in view of the fact that this necessity is preventing the go-ahead for the large scale modernisation of a Group Water Society Limited; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16010/96]

The person in question was allotted land from the estate of Began & Nevin County Westmeath on purchase agreement dated November, 1986. The lands have now been vested and the documentation necessary for registration lodged with Land Registry. Officials from my Department have been in touch with the solicitors in this case to explain the position.
