Written Answers. - Dairy Hygiene Scheme.

Brian Cowen

Question:

902 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will give, in tabular form, and by county, the number of applicants, the number of successful applicants, the number of people paid, the amount of money paid out and the number awaiting payment in relation to the dairy hygiene scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16121/96]

The information sought on the number of applicants, the number of approvals, the number of people paid and the amount paid out is given in the following table. As regards the number awaiting payment the position is that payment issues only on completion of works to the Department's specification and issues within the time limits set out in the Charter of Farmers' Rights.
