Consultants were appointed on 7 June 1996 to carry out a comparative socio-economic evaluation of the Tallaght-Dundrum and Tallaght-Ballymun light rail lines. The consultants are expected to report during August 1996 and their report will be published as soon as possible thereafter. The cost of the consultancy is of the order of £90,000 excluding VAT.
