Vol. 468 No. 4

Written Answers. - Withholding Tax.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

81 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Finance the amount of withholding tax collected in 1995 for persons who are domiciled and work exclusively outside the State; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15212/96]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the only relevant information available is in respect of withholding tax repaid in 1995 to claimants resident outside the State on foot of tax deducted in 1995 or earlier years. The amount so repaid was £4.4 million.
