Question:104 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the ongoing delay in transferring land to Kildare County Council to enable the commencement of construction of houses in the Roberstown area. [15722/96]

Since my reply on 23 May 1996 to the Deputy's previous question on this subject, the transaction has been the subject of correspondence between the Chief State Solicitor and the solicitors acting for Kildare County Council. Agreement has been reached on most of the provisions of the contract which is of a very complex nature. It is hoped that the contract can be finalised shortly.
