Question:

232 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health the projected number of visits which he will undertake between now and the end of December 1996, in the context of Ireland's Presidency of the EU, to EU member destinations, other European destinations, North American destinations, African destinations and other destinations; the total cost of such travel; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 30 September

Salzburg

Meet Austrian Health Minister.

1 October

Brussels

Chair Conciliation Meeting.

10 October

Lisbon

Address EUCOMED Conference.

12 November

Brussels

Chair EU Health Council Meeting.

The need for additional travel may arise, depending on the requirements of the Presidency. It is not possible to give details of costs at this stage, but if the Deputy wishes to submit a question after the Presidency has concluded, I will supply particulars of the travel undertaken by me in the context of the Presidency, and the costs incurred.
