Written Answers. - Mullingar (Westmeath) Speech Therapist Post.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

252 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Health if he will urgently review the need for a speech therapist for the special language class in the Presentation Convent, Mullingar, County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16830/96]

Limerick East): I am pleased to inform the Deputy that arrangements have been made for the funding from savings this year of an additional speech therapist post for the Midland Health Board for the special language class in the Presentation Convent, Mullingar, County Westmeath. This post will be regarded as a priority for funding in 1997 from resources available for the development of services for persons with a physical disability.
