466 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice arising from her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 580 on 11 July 1996, if statements (details supplied) that the cell doors were locked with the children inside will be further investigated. [16191/96]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the statements in question have been examined and the matter further investigated. The position remains as set out in my response to the Deputy's previous question in the matter in which I stated that the children were detained in an unlocked cell.
