467 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if the Garda will carry out nightly foot patrols in the Annamoe Park area of Dublin 7 to ensure that drug users do not congregate on the green space there causing concern and fear to local residents. [16192/96]
I have been informed by the Garda Authorities that the Annamoe Park area is regularly patrolled by beat and mobile patrols, both uniform and plainclothes. This area is being prioritised for foot patrols in the evenings and these patrols, augmented by mobile patrols, monitor and deal with youths congregating in the area. The adequacy of these patrols is constantly reviewed and alterations made as circumstances dictate.
